NYC Trip

NYC Bachelorette

“Welcome to New York, it’s been waiting for you.” - Taylor Swift

When I was planning my bachelorette I knew NYC was my top destination. I wanted to be in the city, be able to party until 3am, and then go out for food later. I love the vibe of NYC. It’s a gorgeous, diverse city that doesn’t sleep. Thankfully, my ladies love me, and they all flew out with me to the East Coast for a memorable weekend.

The weekend was jam packed with delicious food and unforgettable experiences. If you’re planning a trip to NYC, I highly recommend all of these places and activities.

L O D G I N G + S T A Y

Airbnb in Midtown Manhattan

One of the things I really wanted is for all of us to be together. We rented a brownstone in the heart of Manhattan that would accommodate all 10 of us. It was a perfect location - close to subway stations, but located on a quiet street. It had four bedrooms, seven beds, and three bathrooms. The hosts were fabulous and provided all the amenities we needed. I loved that we would go out and explore the city and then all come home together to hang out.

Chinatown Shopping

Explore Chinatown and go shopping. New York’s Chinatown is rich with history, culture, and food. Canal Street is famous for bargain shopping.

Midtown Manhattan Shopping

This is where you get to shop along the famous Fifth Avenue. There are a lot of boutiques and department stores. You’ll also find prominent landmarks such as the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center in Midtown.

SoHo Shopping

Feel like getting your Sex and the City Carrie on? Then, go shopping in SoHo! Stores range from boutiques to upscale retailers. Some stores I’d love to visit are A.P.C., Celine, Nike, Reformation, Saint Laurent, What Goes Around Comes Around (vintage designer items), and Gentle Monster.

Central Park

New York’s iconic park that spans 843 acres. You could probably spend hours here. A great place for a stroll or picnic with your girls!

Bethesda Fountain

The Bethesda terrace and fountain are famous and featured in so many shows and films. I had to walk to the fountain to get the “John Wick” experience.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

NY is home to many amazing museums. It was hard to select which one to go to. In the end, I chose The Met based on its exhibitions featured at that time including the Met Gala. You could easily spend the whole day here. If you want to see the whole museum, then three hours should suffice. We only had an hour to explore, so I could only choose a few exhibits.

St. Patrick’s Cathedral

Gorgeous cathedral built in 1878. Current seat of the Archbishop of NY.

Rockefeller Center

Iconic NY location. Famous for its Christmas tree lighting and ice skating rink.

GoldBar

389 Broome Street, New York, NY 10013

An upscale lounge that’s gold-themed and adorned with gold skulls. Loved the DJ who played hip hop all night. The service was impeccable. It was a perfect place to dance the night away. Like most other NY clubs and lounges, this venue is on the smaller side and feels intimate.

32 Karaoke

32 West 32nd Street, New York, NY 10001

It’s a must to do late night Karaoke! I loved that 32 Karaoke has reasonable prices, large selection of songs that are fairly up-to-date, and is BYOB. Had to disconnect the crazy disco lights though. Felt like I was going to get a seizure. It looked like they only had a few rooms, so definitely make a reservation a few weeks in advance!

Harry Potter NYC

935 Broadway, New York, NY 10010

I’m obsessed with Harry Potter. So I couldn’t pass up being in NY and not go to the Harry Potter store! If you’re a Potter Head, it’s a must-see. I loved seeing the decor, drinking butterbeer, and went home with merch. This experience is going to get its own blog.

I’d love to give a huge shoutout to my ladies! They came ready to partaaaaay, and I’m so grateful. It wouldn’t have been such an amazing trip without them. Thank you all for exploring this city with me and surviving on coffee and little sleep. I was showered with so much love. It’s a trip I’ll never forget. Best weekend ever!!!
