Venice Itinerary 2-Days
Day 1
Activities:
St Mark’s Square
Clock Tower
Explore East Grand Canal (San Marco, Castello, Cannaregio)
Bridge of Sighs
Libreria Acqua Alta
Lunch: Farini Venezia
I really enjoyed their pastries and pizza! Also, the lemon soda was delicious. Similar to Sanpellogrino Limonata.
Dinner: Ostaria Boccadoro (online res available)
Notable Snack Finds:
Pulpo/Octopus at the local grocery store
Nutella Biscuits (ummm these were to die for)
Day 2
Activities:
Mercato Del Pesce / Fish Market
If you have a kitchen at your stay, I highly recommend buying seafood from the market. It’s incredibly fresh and great quality. Hubby cooked us John Dory fish and scallops. YUM!
Grand Canal
Rialto Bridge
Gondola Ride
Lunch: Osteria Al Squero (traditional cichetti, savory snacks or small side dishes, and wines served alongside the canal. I’m a bread gal, so the cichetti paired with the local wine was right up my alley.)
Dinner: Ai Promessi Sposi (res available, email aipromessisposi@gmail.com)
Highly recommend this restaurant! We were late to our reservation, because I remembered the wrong time. They weren’t too happy about that. Luckily, they accommodated us and we had a short window to order and eat. The experience was still amazing and we devoured everything we ordered!
What we ordered and loved: canestrelli gratinati, spaghetti alle vongole, orecchiette di pasta fresca all’amitriciana di capesante e gamberoni affumicati in casa, and callamari alla griglia
